No, this is stupid because non-GMO food companies will proudly boast that they are non-GMO, and since people oftentimes prefer non-GMO, all companies that don't boast about it, we can reasonably conclude, contain it. Thus, requiring companies to show it is unnecessary and unconstitutional, and market incentives already exist for private companies to boast about healthier foods. Customers should buy with discretion, they don't need the government to nose into their food.
