People make plans for their futures despite the decision to get married or not. Same sex marriage does not negatively affect or harm the future in any way. It is inhumane to deny a couple the option to get married simply because they are the same gender. If you are okay with people of the opposite sex getting married then your opinion should not differ for any other couple.

Marriage is built upon commitment and raising kids. Gay people can’t do that themselves, but just like many straight couples, they can adopt.
