If there is an opposition to abortion even in the cases of rape and incest, then there needs to be extremely robust services for both the mother and child after the birth which may include counseling services provided to the mother, plus welfare and an easy path to adoption for the baby. This just does not happen in any case. Due to these reasons, the 'pro-life' stance actually becomes a forced birth stance, since there are no services to adequately support the lives of mother and child after birth.
