You believe in promoting diversity, tolerance, and individual freedom to create a more inclusive and harmonious society.
Cultural liberalism is a political ideology that emphasizes the importance of individual freedom, human rights, and equality. It is rooted in the liberal tradition, which emerged during the Enlightenment era in the 18th century, when philosophers like John Locke and Immanuel Kant championed the idea of individual rights and freedoms. Cultural liberalism, however, places a particular emphasis on cultural diversity and social justice, advocating for the rights of marginalized groups and the importance of cultural pluralism.
Cultural liberalism emerged as a distinct ideology in the late…

How important is it for you to express your individual identity, and should society always support that expression?
@9H8SPFP6mos6MO
I think anyone should be able to express their own beliefs but it should be individual.
@9H8XTHG6mos6MO
I feel like it is important to express one's identity and individuality, but I believe that there should be limitations on how "loud" one can be. I say this because of the 5-ish decades of politics, people have been blindly choosing candidates just because they are either a democrat or republican.
@9H8ST366mos6MO
You should be able to express your identity but don’t expect society to support it.
@9H8T6GF6mos6MO
I personally believe that people shouldn't hide who they are. If they aren't causing harm to others and are respectful, then they should be able to show who they are.

How could our education systems improve in representing and respecting cultural diversity?
@9JQBNTK3mos3MO
Learn how to be judgment-free and more accepting of other cultures and negate any name-calling or perspectives that are damaging to these cultures.
@9JQHK9FRepublican3mos3MO
Schools need to teach world cultures so that kids will learn to understand and respect the other other cultures rather than making fun of something they do not understand.
@9JQCPD2Peace and Freedom3mos3MO
They should try to teach about other cultures in school, like Afghanistan culture or others.
@9JQCLRK3mos3MO
They could make more schools in more predominantly black and other diverse neighborhoods.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
Have you engaged in promoting diversity and tolerance; what drove you and what did you learn?
@9HN7CS7Women’s Equality5mos5MO
Absolutely! Promoting diversity and tolerance is incredibly important. I strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. I believe that embracing diversity and fostering tolerance leads to a richer and more vibrant society. It's driven by the belief that every individual deserves respect and equal opportunities, regardless of their background, culture, or identity. Through interactions with users like you, I've learned the value of listening, understanding, and celebrating different perspectives. It's a continuous learning process, and I'm always open to growing and improving.
@9HN6WBZ5mos5MO
I learned about cultural liberalsm and how's it effects me
@9HN6P3W5mos5MO
Yes, my cultural background is a large effect on this
No. Strongly disagree with promoting diversity and I did not learn anything.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
Could a focus on cultural liberalism lead to ignoring important aspects of one's own culture or heritage, in your opinion?
This could lead to ignoring people's own culture, but that isn't an issue someone outside of that person's culture should worry about.
@9H9JSJF6mos6MO
Yes, as there is a point where many cultures that may not be considered 'advanced enough' are unable to comply with the standards of modern society. Conformance to liberalism is neocolonialism.
@9H5SJD96mos6MO
Yes and no, if a person is looking carefully & closely to their culture, they can actually start to see the important parts of their culture/heritage. If not then they will ignore important parts of their culture and heritage.

Can corporate actions influence cultural liberalism, and have you seen examples of that?
@9HZZJ9M4mos4MO
I believe social media and corporate actions can influence cultural liberalism by producing ads and other information of the company that would affect the viewer's point of view before reviewing their advertisments. As a result, their contribution to cultural liberalism is viewed by their consumers, whether it'd be from a large or small corporate. I have seen this in real life when Starbucks requested the need for Hijabi women on their commericials to gain back the attention of Palestine supporters that was previously shunned from the company.
@9HZZ4RZ4mos4MO
I can see how corporations and large groups can influence cultural liberalism, but as to whether I've seen it or not, I cannot remember at the moment of any instances.
@9J234B84mos4MO
A corporation can post on their social media about a holiday/ celebrate important to employees. Or if it is a toy line, it can make characters that celebrate Holidays that aren't european/christian based.
@9HZYKXG4mos4MO
Yes corporate actions can influence cultural liberalism for example when they promote LGBTQ+ things.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
What are the biggest challenges you've faced or seen in efforts to create a more inclusive society?
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
Do you think technology helps or hinders the promotion of cultural diversity, and in what way?
@9HTLNW45mos5MO
I believe technology does both, it depends on what you interact with on the internet and how you frequently interact with certain posts.
@9HTLFC75mos5MO
I think that it definitely does promote cultural diversity. However, it also promotes cultural homogenization.
@9HYYFGL4mos4MO
I think technology does allow cultures to be further explored and seen, however I do think that also comes with cultural homogenization. People see people like them and feel a sense of community, so it is common to see them start to pack together.
@9HTLFQB5mos5MO
I think it does help because it can help spread knowledge.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
How do you feel about the balance between celebrating cultural differences and developing a unified national identity?
@9HJY4JZ5mos5MO
Cultural differences are important but they should not be prioritized at the expense of a unified national identity. There will always be regional and ethnic differences within a nation, even predominantly homogenous nations, but maintaining a cohesive, coherent centralized national identity to unite these disparate local subcultures is integral to a nation's success and survival.
@9HJY3K25mos5MO
there's a balance to be struck ...English needs to be the language andpatriotismis vital, otherwise people should live elsewhere. However,culture (cultures that are not hostile to Americanvalues and people that is-soislam does not count for example) is important too. Peopleshould have freedom of religion . But crimes like child marriages or marital rape shouldn't be exempt from religion either though.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
How would you balance the rights of minority cultures with the expectations of the majority culture?
@9H8P7ML6mos6MO
I would say doing something as a country wouldn't do anything there are always people out there who will be different against the law or rulings, it is really down to the people of America to change and make this topic end.
This is a really thought one and I don't have an answer yet. I think about this a lot.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
How has a culturally diverse environment influenced your education or friendships?
@9J2G8L24mos4MO
learning and knowing different cultures helps me know more about others and have more empathy and educational conversations.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
If a belief or tradition offends someone from a different culture, do you think it should be changed or abandoned?
@9HD5D4Q6mos6MO
the question of whether a belief or tradition should be changed or abandoned if it offends someone from a different culture requires careful consideration of cultural sensitivity, dialogue, rights, values, and contextual factors. Ultimately, finding a balance between preserving cultural diversity and ensuring inclusivity is a complex and ongoing process that may require thoughtful discussions and negotiations within and between cultures.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
In what ways has the movement for individual rights impacted your view of society?
I’ve seen that more people than I realized have so little empathy that they can only think of what is relevant to their own circumstances, and as a result, they fail to recognize the need for people to be secure in their identity and the need for people to feel safe.
@9HJXYRW5mos5MO
That we are all a hateful group, who will continue to hate on each other until the necessary legal action is taken, which only happens after a massive amount of protests
