Should everyone blindly trust scientific consensus without personal research, and why or why not?

 @9H5HQLD from Missouri answered…6mos6MO

Not necessarily. Individual research should be encouraged, but certified scientists always have more credibility.

 @9H5JHSQanswered…6mos6MO

Yes and no they know more then we ever will about earth considering they've been studying it their whole lifes almost and are fascinated by it while we barely put thought into it, but at the same time they still have'nt did it.

 @9H5JL6D from North Dakota answered…6mos6MO

Acceptance of anything without understanding the science behind it is dangerous, and can lead to false conclusions.

 @9H5K5Y7 from Minnesota answered…6mos6MO

no because you wont know if its true or not intell you do some kind of reaserch

 @ISIDEWITHasked…6mos6MO

What personal experiences or observations have led you to your current perspective on climate change?

 @9H8BJCG from Minnesota answered…6mos6MO

Education mostly. Learning about climate change and also witnessing its effects first hand.

 @9H8BG2PLibertarian from Washington answered…6mos6MO

Growing up in a world where climate is already ruined from the people before.

 @9H8BJ9Kfrom Maine answered…6mos6MO

 @9H9DVSF from Texas commented…6mos6MO

If an important aspect of your way of life was harming the environment, how would you feel and what would you do?

 @9KYCY33 from Illinois answered…2mos2MO

I would immediately change my ways and find a new way to help the environment.

 @9KY7DSG from Oregon answered…2mos2MO

I would feel targeted and I would try to stop it trying to find a less harmful replacement.

 @9KY76PL from Illinois answered…2mos2MO

I would find ways to completely stop and replace it with something that doesn't harm the enviroment if i could not then i would find a less harmful replacement or try to mitigate it some how

 @ISIDEWITHasked…3mos3MO

Would the discovery of past climate change inaccuracies affect your trust in current climate science, and in what way?

 @9KM8257 from California answered…2mos2MO

No, I have no doubt in my mind when it comes to current climate science, our world is in danger of being destroyed due to climate change.

 @9KMPN8NGreen from Illinois agreed…2mos2MO

If my opinion is more important than the actual data recorded by worldwide scientists and scientific organizations, we are already doomed.

 @9KMMVC4 from California answered…2mos2MO

yes because we can more about the climate change and how was in past before now.

 @9KM7MSDIndependent from California answered…2mos2MO

Probably not, but I have hope from the bottom of my heart that maybe we can stop it

 @ISIDEWITHasked…6mos6MO

If climate change were proven to be natural, would you feel less responsible for taking action?

 @9H3V9HZ from New York answered…6mos6MO

I doubt that climate change is natural. However if it were to be hypothetically proven natural, I believe that humanity should still take responsibility in taking precautions to protect our species from the dangers of climate change, whatever they may be, and however we can do it.

 @9H3V2ML from Pennsylvania answered…6mos6MO

Slightly, however we are the only species on Earth that can promote positive change.

 @9H3V2KCSocialist from North Carolina answered…6mos6MO

I would feel responsible unless proven that climate change is 100% natural.

 @9H3Z22H from Texas answered…6mos6MO

Hypothetically, if it were proven that climate change was a 100% natural occurrence I would feel less responsible but we as humans are the only current species on earth able to have control over what can be done about climate change as a whole. So I think the feeling of responsibility would remain but be less intense.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…6mos6MO

How might large-scale environmental changes influence your community or local economy?

 @9HKH6T8 from California answered…5mos5MO

 @9HKH7JQ from Arizona answered…5mos5MO

Im not to knowledgeable about climate change but I do trust science, if there is an issue that has scientists pleading to be heard then I think we should listen.

 @9HKH64M from California answered…5mos5MO

 @ISIDEWITHasked…6mos6MO

Imagine a world where climate change solutions are universally agreed upon; what does it look like?

 @9HKJ5LJ from Kansas answered…5mos5MO

It looks like a healthie place to live in which the earth is not dying as fast.

 @9HKJ5D5 from California answered…5mos5MO

Clean energy and actively working to close in on net zero carbon emissions.

 @David-Alvarez  from Virginia answered…5mos5MO

Leaving more reliantly on ones self whilst taking care of nature and sometimes sacrificing a little when needed.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…6mos6MO

How could changes in environmental policies affect your job or industry in the future?

 @9HKHTC9 from Missouri answered…5mos5MO

It can affect the way we were originally trained to do the job. We would have to change everything that we do.

 @9HKHRVX from Illinois answered…5mos5MO

I work in the energy transmission industry, most green energy options are currently cheaper than fossil fuel generation due to the lack of maintenance work. The issue is a lack of domestic production methods means it’s difficult to acquire the precursors at scale to be able to make an economic difference in a short period of time. Discussing the ongoing benefit and stabilizing energy costs in a sustainable way will benefit all industries; largely this issue has nothing to do with carbon, yet carbon remains the focus because of the political benefits for taking stances for/against the idea of carbon mitigation.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…6mos6MO

What lessons can we learn from past societal responses to environmental crises?

 @9HKHMDK from California answered…5mos5MO

The lessons we can learn from past societal responses to environmental crises more collaboration and global cooperation. Being able to share knowledge, resources can help address environmental challenges more effectively.

 @9HKHGM5Peace and Freedom from California answered…5mos5MO

We can learn that there are ways to affect climate change and we also learn that people don't care.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

If definitive proof of climate change's severity was found, how should the world's leaders respond?

  @9CJ6CB6 from Virginia commented…4mos4MO

It already has been found, but the current goal should be to sever the ties of fossil fuel lobbyists from government, and work towards researching as many new technologies as possible to help fix it. We need to adopt an “all-green alternatives” approach to move away from fossil fuels, reduce fossil fuel use in the energy sector, work for alternatives in other industries, reduce emissions caused by deforestation, forest fires, or farmlands.

 @9HTBXHJRepublican from Massachusetts answered…5mos5MO

Invest in researching technologies with which we can adapt instead of banning, restricting, and subsidizing already existing products.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…6mos6MO

If you could ask a climate scientist any question, what would it be, and why?

  @9CJ6CB6 from Virginia commented…4mos4MO

 @9HKJSMT from Colorado answered…5mos5MO

I would ask how bad the climate issue is really, and not how certain medias portray it. I would ask this because it is a very real, and relevant issue today, but certain news sources share their OPINIONS on the matter rather than the FACTS.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

What are your feelings towards the loss of natural habitats and the possible link to climate change?

 @9HT98KPSocialist from Washington answered…5mos5MO

The loss of natural habitats, climate change, droughts and famine due to human action are indisputable. Climate change skeptics are in part astro-turfed by Capital. Capital is threatened by increased regulation which will decrease their profits.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2mos2MO

How do you negotiate between your community's economic needs and the larger climate change concerns?

 @9L58RGRRepublican  from Illinois answered…2mos2MO

I would push what affects us now and then fix the bigger picture because I feel like as long as we are surviving in the current situation then we can work on the future.

 @9L57MPD from Illinois answered…2mos2MO

By actually communicating with your community to come to a resolution that benefits both sides
