We should just no longer sell them unless you have the proper requirements to need assault weapons

You do realize that "no longer selling them" is not gonna change anything at all right? limiting access for the people that get guns for protection reasons, hunting (Because lets be real, the whole point of a weapon of any kind, is to be used to assault if need be) my point being, you need to realize that not selling guns isn't gonna change the amount of criminals that illegally obtained them. this isn't a political statement it is just the fact that it is not possible to stop gun violence by just not selling them. and no matter how many "proper requirements are put into place" people are still gonna get them.
