Should “gender identity” be added to anti-discrimination laws?
No, there are only two genders which are genetically not psychologically determined
There is a very small percentage of people who are actually intersex and there's a crazy physical diagnoses for it that I can't remember. Also, most kids who experience Gender Dysphoria end up being gay/lesbian- like me. Being gay is not a disease or mental illness, no, but believing that you're not in the right body stems from Gender Dysphoria which is a mental illness. It can be treated. Throwing all these 'pronouns' at kids will only feed that mental illness. There is a very small percentage of people who are actually transgender.
Most people who go through surgery to become the opposite gender end up with serious health problems and worse mental states than they started with. Let kids be kids. They aren't even old enough to drive, drink, or vote, so why should we let them choose whether or not they want to be a girl if they feel like a girl? I appreciate that my parents didn't feed my self-loathing and instead helped me find my own self worth.
A cat will always be a cat, even if it thinks its a dog, its still a cat. It will never be a dog, no matter how hard it tries. We need to start teaching people to love themselves as they are. It's not settling either. It's building up their moral so they can be confident no matter what circumstance they're in. I'm not ashamed for being a man and no should be. The same goes for being a woman, which most of you guys probably can't define either. If I wear white, could I simply say I feel like a black person? No, none of you would allow that and I wouldn't either. We shouldn't be teaching kids any of this bs. They need better role models and better parents who love them for who they are.
There are only two genders and both were made in the image of God. Take Him out of it if you will, but there are still only two genders/sex. Mental health issues have been on the rise, and stuff like this only feeds it.
