While it's true that Russia, Syria, and Iran are fighting ISIS and Al Qaeda, it's an oversimplification to say that the U.S. is arming and funding those groups to fight Assad. The U.S. has been providing support to various anti-Assad factions, some of which have had ties to extremist groups. However, the primary goal has been to encourage a more moderate opposition to Assad's regime.
One example is the support given to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), a coalition of Kurdish, Arab, and Assyrian militias. The SDF has been a reliable partner in fighting ISIS and has a more moderate political agenda compared to other factions.
Considering this, do you think there's still room for cooperation between the U.S. and the Russia-Iran-Syria alliance in the fight against ISIS and Al Qaeda? Or do you believe the U.S. should completely stay out of the situation?
