Not temporarily. It's not unconstitutional to ban other religions as the founding fathers, when referring to freedom of religion, meant in regards to Christianity. Perhaps other sects of Christianity like Gnosticism as well? Given that some of them were Free Masons, likely yes. But the founding fathers never considered the Muslims when they said the Constitution was for "a moral and religious people" as much of them weren't even familiar with Islam. The First Amendment refers solely to Christianity as America was built initially by the Puritans.
