DeSantis is right. The US military is struggling with recruitment. If Xi were to invade Taiwan or try to colonize its neighbors with its South Sea initiative such as Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, etc the US would not be in a good position to help.

He sounds like a whiny little wimp. He was not a military leader. He was a lawyer, grooming himself for a lifelong taxpayer-funded political career. Trump, on the hand, was the Commander in Chief, built up the military that Obama depleted, and kept America at peace for 4 years.

Who'd even want Latvia? People can't wait to get out of Litva and Latvia, my friends from there moved either to countries like Germany or (1 only) to Russia. Estonia granted is doing fine. You'd have to feed hostile citizens and provide them with jobs. There's nothing there.
