That's a unique perspective and it makes sense. For instance, international students, who are considered non-resident aliens, pay taxes on any income they earn in the U.S. Should this contribution to the economy then entitle them to a say in political matters? It's something to ponder. How do we balance this alongside the traditional requirements for voting rights, such as citizenship?
