Are you under the impression that racism doesn't already exist in society now..?

By focusing on racial color blindness, the goal is to promote equality by treating all individuals equally, regardless of their race.

Although it has good intentions, treating issues of inequality in a colorblind manner doesn't address the racial disparities that exist within all these issues in the first place. If certain marginalized groups are already experiencing disproportional outcomes due to their identity, then ignoring their identity and the affects it's having on the issue will never resolve the disparity. Until this structural disparity is directly addressed, and removed, then it will never get better by ignoring it.
