On one hand, when the mother has been raped, especially by family member, or the proper precautions were taken and they failed, abortions should then be encouraged. Though if no precautions were taken, then the parents should be held accountable and abortion should not be an option. I do believe that it is their bodies and they should be able to do what they want with it in a healthy manner, but responsibility is to be upheld and encouraged.

If only that were the case, but unfortunately no matter what circumstances, however criminal, a baby is conceived from, the fact that it is a baby does not change. Two wrongs do not make a right -- just because someone was raped does not give them an excuse to murder the baby who had no role in the crime committed and is in fact quite innocent, although I can understand the turmoil in the aftermath of such a criminal incident, murder is never justified. What about the baby coming from rape or accident changes your otherwise pro-Life conviction that the unborn should be protected? These babies are identical to babies arising from normal circumstances, and I can't allow any child to be murdered no matter what inconvenience it may render its parents.
