The Kentucky Republican, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, referenced Brig. Gen Moussa Barmou, the American-trained commander of the Nigerien special operations forces who helped oust Niger’s democratically elected president.
“Under what authorities, and or what purpose did U.S. forces provide training to Moussa Salaou Barmou or any other Nigerien forces and coup leaders who overthrew President Mohamed Bazoum,” Paul wrote in the letter.
He also asked for descriptions of which forces in Niger received security aid and support, which legal authorities were used and what steps the Pentagon is taking to ensure U.S.-supplied aid equipment and training isn’t being used in human rights violations.
“Is the Department of Defense concerned that any current recipients of funds, training, equipment or other kinds support ... is currently engaged in human rights violations or engaged in human rights violations in the last ten years,” Paul wrote.

9 killed, 10 wounded:
The Tongo Tongo ambush or the Niger ambush occurred on 4 October 2017, when armed militants from the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara (ISGS) attacked Nigerien and US soldiers outside the village of Tongo Tongo, Niger, while they were returning to base.

I want to know why I was woken up and tortured in the middle of the night the worst I’ve ever been tortured with Havana syndrome when there was a coup in Niger? Why is an American getting tortured over what happens in Niger?

Maybe check with Senator Tuberville and see if his de-funding our military leadership and supporting North Korea, China, and Putin may have something to do with your concerns over Niger. Tuberville may be able to answer your questions since he understands military issues so well.

We never voted to go to war with Russia but yet here we are!
Congress never voted to ratify this international agreement either but for some reason the majority of Congress is still voting to fund it.

Do you really expect anything different from a regime that disregards the laws of this country? Three branches of government now collapsed into one tyrannical freakin' mess.
Yes because that's what your constituents in Kentucky need, you remember them, right not-a-doctor-Rand Paul? Probably not, it's not an election year for you.
