It’s just proof that diplomacy is a lost skill at the State Department. The only statecraft tools the US has left are sanctions and war.
Not only Iran, but Syria, where US maintains an illegal hostile occupation in the country and is also stealing Syria's oil (as if this country's interventions in the middle east have ever accomplished anything constructive in the first place)
