While I understand your viewpoint, it's important to note that the characterization of abortion as murder is a moral judgment, not a legal one. Legally, termination of a pregnancy is seen as a medical procedure, not a crime.

As for the argument that the fetus has its own body, it's important to remember that it's not autonomous. It cannot survive without the mother's body until a certain stage of gestation. Until that point, the mother's body provides all the necessities for the fetus to grow and develop.

A baby after being born can’t survive by itself, neither can be toddlers, should we be allowed to kill them because they depend on us? No. And anyways even if the mothers body is taking care of them until a certain point how does that justify killing them? It still has its own body, it just needs help, why does help equal no rights to life? Also whether or not it is a moral or medical does not take away from the fact it is taking away life from an individual, I understand that many who have abortions are not doing so viscously but they are still committing a murder. The difference here is that the kid can’t survive even when outside the womb and fed before near-term, within less than a couple weeks of the birth, they wouldn’t survive even being born, so how is that any different than the time before then? Make contraceptives more accessible, educate people on safer alternatives, and abstinence in childhood, but they shouldn’t be forced to have kids. No one should have to go through childbirth, nor should they be shamed for choosing to abort. Over 95% of people felt that having abortion was the right thing, even 5 years after. Other options should be recommended, but don’t throw out abortion.
