America has pumped nearly $25 billion into Ukraine's economy since the Russian invasion began. 60 Minutes went to Ukraine to learn how the money is being spent.

60 Minutes discovered the U.S. is financing more than weapons in Ukraine. The government is buying seeds/fertilizer for farmers, paying the salaries of 57,000 first responders and subsidizing small businesses.

…people are lowkey going to be furious that US is subsidizing small businesses in Ukraine when they feel so many have been left out to dry in the US during and post-Covid.

We spent like 10x as much on the PPP program as we’ve given Ukraine. Our aid to businesses here at home towers over the pocket change we’re giving the Ukrainians.

I’d provide seeds over ammunition any day. Let’s say my annual 50k-100k in taxes are funding some of the seeds at home and abroad. It leads a to a less horrific world.

i don't disagree in principle but i can guarantee the world would be a whole lot more horrible if ukraine didn't have enough weapons to at least stalemate with russia

Yeah, I couldn’t imagine being attacked by another country. I remember talking to my friend who’s mother in law lives in Kyiv before the invasion. So messed up.
