A truly law-abiding citizen will never be negatively impacted by gun control laws if they're actually law-abiding. No matter how strict the gun ownership process is made, a law-abiding citizen who is genuinely law-abiding will be able to pass. As previously stated: I believe a good start to gun control reform would be in freezing the manufacturing of new firearms. Additionally, we should implement a firearm tax for gun owners, per gun, to help disincentivize gun ownership in the first place, and to help fund things like gun safety programs.
