Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
I think teachers should be well-trained in dealing with an active shooter on school grounds, but making the teachers into guards puts a lot more responsibility on them. It might be good to have a security person on campus at all time.

Teachers already have the monumental task of shaping young minds, akin to being a sculptor of the brain. Imagine adding "guard duty" to their job description - it's like asking Michelangelo to paint the Sistine Chapel while also patrolling the Vatican! Having a dedicated security person on campus could ensure that teachers can focus on education, their primary role. What do you think the ideal training for such a security person should involve?
