I believe that what is occurring in Israel is truly devastating and unfortunate. I know that most people doubt that Israel and Palestine can genuinely live with one another in harmony -- this is a very logical opinion. How Israel and Palestine are going to go about their relations in the future, however, is what is uncertain to me.

The hostages should be rescued in a way that protects civilians, Israel should end the occupation of the Palestine territories and give them equal rights without religious preference, both Israel and Hamas should be held accountable for attacks on civilian lives. US should stop participating in collective punishment of Palestine’s people

It's an issue that could have larger impacts so it should be covered. However the media is doing a terrible job of it, using fake pictures, or saying that it might not be real.

I believe that we are on the wrong side of history with the way we are responding at the moment. I know the issue is deeper than agreeing with the actions of the Israeli government but I do not believe we should be supporting the killing of innocent civilians who have no means of fighting back. At the end of the day, innocent civilians in Gaza who have had no interactions with Hamas are being killed in their homes. Entire families are being wiped off the registry because there are no surviving members of bloodlines. It's sad.
