This is partly why they live like animals. The biggest reason is poor governance (authoritarian). Their income level is comparable to the Egyptians and Syrians. Jews aren’t their biggest issue.

When was the last time there were any elections in Gaza? From my understanding, no citizen participation in influencing government has not happened since 2006. It seems Gaza is a dictatorship controlled by Hamas whose leadership live in luxury in Qatar.
