If we simply let women decide to make the serious decision of ending a Childs life, regardless of whether they wanted that child or not, or if they were too mentally immature to decide the course of its fate, they could potentially make a serious irreversible decision that could unfairly cut the life short of someone who never deserved death, and it could, in turn, negatively alter the course of their Mother's life, for they may realize the gravity of the decision they just made, and that realization could drive them to potential suicide, killing off TWO unfortunate souls.
abortion is not a decision that should be made on the basis of emotion or feelings, but on the basis of human rights, and someone being able to kill one's child, regardless of how they conceived that child, should be seen as a crime against humanity. If a woman conceives a child, but they so badly don't want to keep it that they would be willing to murder it to not have to bear the responsibility of raising it, the child should be able to be put up for adoptive services.

First of all, the regret rate among women who chose to get an abortion is incredibly low, considering that...ya know...they didn't want to be pregnant and an abortion solved that problem for them. Very few women actually experience any long-term negative feelings or regrets after receiving a wanted abortion (obviously).
Secondly, abortion falls under the human right of bodily autonomy, in which all individuals have the right to decide who can or cannot use their body. As such, a mother has every right to decide that this fetus cannot continue to use her body, and has every right to stop it from continuing to do so, hence why abortion is perfectly justified via the right to bodily autonomy. The crime against humanity would be to deny people this basic right of ownership over their own body's decision-making.
