Palestinians elected Hamas and are complicit with their actions. Where is the outrage against Hamas not allowing its citizens the ability to flee the fighting?

Israel isn't defending itself, they've been attacking Palestine for decades now and they're currently committing a genocide on the Palestinian people. Secondly, there hasn't been an election in Palestine since like 2006; almost half the population wasn't even alive or of voting age when Hamas took power, so to claim that all Palestinians are somehow deserving of their own people's genocide is insane...
