Proponents argue that it is an act of love, but in reality it is fear of parenthood that prompts it, and aborting a child because their life may be hard is no better than telling someone living in poverty or mental illness that it would have been better for them never to be born. A true act of love would be giving the child a chance at life and promising to devote oneself to loving them.

It has nothing to do with love and everything to do with consent. You have the right to decide who can or cannot use your body, for any reason, and no other person has the right to use your body without your consent; hence why the child does NOT have a right to use your body for pregnancy if you do not, or no longer, want it to be there. You have every right to take whatever action necessary in order to stop it from continuing to violate your bodily autonomy, even if that means it dies. There is absolutely no need or obligation for you to have to allow someone, even a fetus, to use your body against your will...
