In your opinion, would widespread ownership create a more or less competitive economic environment? Why?

No. People deserve to own what they work for, and should pay for what they don't. All the natural resources and land of the Earth belong to humans because no one invented them, but no one should ever have to share what they create with someone else if they fairly compensate society throughout that process. This is my thinking behind Land Value Taxation. Pay a tax on the natural resources you are occupying, and keep what you earn.
