Diversity is much more important. Diversity can teach many more people about cultures, traditions, and different perspectives, a single culture will only lead to discrimination against anyone who prefers diversity.

 @9H9VHJR from Ohio answered…5mos5MO

Diversity should be encouraged and all cultures should be able to be shared. No government or institution should enforce a singular culture, and instead allow them all to prosper. Without diversity, there is no individuality.

 @9H9NGKQ from Ohio answered…5mos5MO

Diversity is what makes us great. But no culture, no race and no group of people should be treated better or worse. That includes immigrants and it included whites

 @9H83PC2 from Texas answered…5mos5MO

it is definitely wrong because our nation has so many different races. There are also so many different cultures and religions that people follow. It would be wrong to force the world to follow one national culture.

 @9HCNN4B from Nevada answered…5mos5MO

All cultures should be preserve and educated on but not on the idea to preserve more diversity but to be cultural educated on peoples cultures every culture holds importance not just one.

 @9H8H735Republican from Texas answered…5mos5MO

everyone has there own beliefs and its wrong to have everyone obey by just one

 @9HCH26C from Ohio answered…5mos5MO

cultures should be something that people find and experience for themselves without a push or pull from anybody else

 @9HCQF8S from Wisconsin answered…5mos5MO

I believe that the founding fathers of this country obviously wanted to be founded by God, but in the end we are all people on this Earth living different virtues of life, no matter race or religion or culture, the expense of diversity should have some part in Government, but not fully.

 @9H9TP4NWomen’s Equality from Texas answered…5mos5MO

Our culture in America is based on diversity. Immigrants built this nation and have continued to do so for generations. The combination of cultures and acceptance of differences makes America the unique place it is and to destroy diversity would be to destroy America.

 @9H9TXBZTaxpayers from Texas answered…5mos5MO

Unless a person is a social threat they shouldnt be treated different then the other people around them

 @9H8SBXXanswered…5mos5MO

I believe that diversity holds a higher importance than a singular national culture.

 @9H9MMQVanswered…5mos5MO

I think it is not ok to force any sort of particular group based on race or culture, we should live in a diverse environment but not one that;s forced to be diverse either

I believe that if a nation wants to continue to have a culture to themselves then they have the right to. But If your people want a change, then make that change. One person shouldn't be making the decisions of a culture.

 @9H9QYLK from Texas answered…5mos5MO

I think diversity is important along with the preservation of cultures, you just have to find a mutual respect for both.

 @9HB45CTanswered…5mos5MO

I would be very shocked and sad and upset. Just because you want to maintain your culture doesn't mean you have to get rid of the diversity around you.

 @9HB4QCQRepublican from Indiana answered…5mos5MO

 @9H7X5KQ from Missouri answered…5mos5MO

no i think that we are a free nation which includes the freedom of being able to do what you want to do, but you should not be able to discriminate the country that gives you the freedom to express yourself freely.

 @9HB3RLC from North Carolina answered…5mos5MO

No single national culture should be preserved. Diversity is what makes our country beautiful and special.

 @9HBW9H9 from Missouri answered…5mos5MO

American culture is a "melting pot" of cultures. To preserve it we need to keep the diversity because if we don't then America isn't America anymore.

 @9HCL8RV from Nevada answered…5mos5MO

I have no emotional response, only a logical response. Its ridiculous to say that one race is better than all the others

 @9H9NKRK from Indiana answered…5mos5MO

I think this is a harmful belief and diversity should be allowed to exist because we are all created equal. I find it sad and disappointing that people think this way.

 @9HCNHTQ from Missouri answered…5mos5MO

"Culture" has no part in Government. I view "culture" in the same vein and religion. It is person! And should not be part of the government.

 @9HCBP5G  from Indiana answered…5mos5MO

I think we should mesh these ideas together. Yes, we are Irish, Spanish, etc. but we are Americans. That level of culture should be shared, besides our own separate cultures.

 @9H7G842 from New York answered…5mos5MO

I think its a gross thing to do or say for our country since our country hold so many different race, cultures and people in general and doing that will bring down their people which will be around 99% of the United states of America

 @9H9QHHPSocialist from Indiana answered…5mos5MO

 @9HCHYCQ from Alabama answered…5mos5MO

Being diverse is what makes us great. Having a bunch of people with the same ideals and suggestions is useless and stagnating.

 @9H9T24M from New York answered…5mos5MO

I believe cultural identity is important, but I also think that a united country is very important. Also, I think clinging to a culture that does not represent the modern way of life could be potentially dangerous, so I am kind of in between that statement.

 @9H7RXRG from Oklahoma answered…5mos5MO

This is a historically ignorant and culturally blind position to take, we have Mormons, protestants, Catholics, Hispanics, african americans,native americans of many different nations, francophones, etc, the cultural diversity of the united states is not the diversity of newyork and its ethnic neighborhoods, it is the diversity of the vast lands of this federal republic.

 @9H9RPLSRepublican from Texas answered…5mos5MO

The idea of a single national culture should not be preserved especially at the expense of diversity. We strive on diversity and creating a single one national culture would break us apart and would be unfair.

 @9H92HRX from Idaho answered…5mos5MO

It should be preserved but not at the expense of diversity. We are all humans and can be diverse but proud of the national culture.

 @9HB7NB9 from Oregon answered…5mos5MO

I believe it can be used to strengthen a nation. To keep traditional values, and to have a common characteristic between all people.

 @9H8WTT7Republican from Texas answered…5mos5MO

I'd disagree if that's the case in the US because diversity is important and appreciated here, for smaller countries/territories that practice a strict tradition I see no issue.

 @9HBZYT2 from Nevada answered…5mos5MO

Diversity should be shared with everyone, i feel like if everyone would share there cultures people would learn a lot more from people and things wouldn't be so damn hard

 @9HC5W26Socialist from New York answered…5mos5MO

There is no single national culture in America, and never has been. This question would only be relevant in a small, homogeneous nation-state.

 @9H9TNKT from Wisconsin answered…5mos5MO

Asking for an emotional response to this is dumb. People shouldn't be answering critical questions just on the basis of emotion alone. Instead people should use facts as well as emotion together, this allows for better view points.

 @9HB4V7F  from California answered…5mos5MO

Diversity is a great thing and we should have in America, but we should not treat people better than some others.

 @9HC2R2K from Arizona answered…5mos5MO

I think people should be allowed to celebrate the differences between cultures.

 @9H9TYT8 from Texas answered…5mos5MO

Absoulty not, we should not support this and the idea that one raise is better then the other is completly and underlly upsered

 @9H9VFF3 from North Carolina answered…5mos5MO

It's disheartening because diversity is what makes a good country, a bunch of different cultures coming together in one country, different political views, religions, food, etc.

 @9H9THJD from Georgia answered…5mos5MO

Our nation started as a melting pot and should remain that. That being said, open borders and illegal immigration are hurting our citizens. The #1 job of our government is to keep our citizens safe.
