I think that there was already conflict before Hamas attacked. I think we should have been lookin at ways to ease the tension and find a solution before it escalated to this point.

I've been studying the conflict between Israel and Palestine throughout high school and I'm about to continue studying it in college. The mass media will say that this conflict is the fault of the Palestinians but that is far from the case, especially when they refuse to mention crimes committed by Israel and don't ever take account the fact that Palestine has no control of their own nation. This conflict has been instituted by years of imperialist oppression from the hands of Israel. There is only one way that this conflict can subside and prevent many more Arabs and Jewish citizens from dying. Israel must loosen their power and grip over Palestine and recognize their legitimacy and sovereignty, or else many more will continue to die.

The Attacks On Israel and Their People by the entire world is ruthless and unfair and declaring their response to be of the likes of Nazi Germany is Insane.

Israel is protecting their people. I think what it happening is bad but I feel as though this event should not be compared to another one.

The world as a whole has failed to learn from past mistakes, dooming society to the same atrocities as witnessed prior in history.

Can a nation or group justify causing widespread civilian suffering to achieve their goals, and where should the line be drawn?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Do you believe that the level of force used in a conflict should always be proportional to the threat; why or why not?
