As Biden collapses in the polls, and Trump rises, Democrats are going to resort to increasingly desperate -- and anti-democratic -- means to ensure Trump can't run, all while they insist that only they are the Guardians of Democracy.

This is playing with real fire.

My prediction is that the Trump ballot ruling is overturned & in the meantime this will be used to help galvanize the GOP & raise $10s of millions in the meantime.

Lots of people cheering this decision have zero concept of game theory, and it shows.

I find it kinda funny because He is no longer able to run again for the presidency.

Saving Democracy...by not allowing voters to choose?

 @PollingGregConstitution from Indiana commented…5mos5MO

How authoritarian of democrats, once again. Why do democrats hate human rights?

If a candidate is blocked from an election due to controversial actions, does this protect or harm the integrity of the political system?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Should a court have the power to prevent someone from running for office, or should that be left solely to the voters to decide?

 @ScornfulGerrymanderConstitution from Illinois commented…5mos5MO

How does the gov't insurrect itself? All power of the executive resides in the President, thus the President would be insurrecting himself. The whole idea is a logical fallacy. This is why the President isn't listed under the insurrection exclusion of the 14th amendment. Also, how does a state court make a ruling on a federal statute?

 @9HPRWZBfrom Guam commented…5mos5MO

A state government should not rule any candidate ineligible to be on ballot.

This will impact Donald Trump in more ways than most believe. The other important thing to watch is what does the SCOTUS rule on the DC case.

 @9HPQWKQ from Florida commented…5mos5MO

I agree that Trump violated his oath to the Constitution and should not be president again. His best defense to this is that the Senate failed to convict him for his actions leading up to and on January 6th. I believe it is heinous to try to minimize, justify, or just flat out ignore what happened on January 6th.

Donald is a good candidate for our president and will get things done right so it’s foolish to remove him.

 @BlissfulB1llOfRightsRepublican from Pennsylvania commented…5mos5MO

Trump was irrelevant last year. The GOP was turning the page.

Then the indictments came. Voters circled the wagons & rallied behind him.

Haley is gaining steam. She is ready to pass him in NH. Now this… this just guaranteed a Trump nomination.

Dems need Trump for Biden to win

 @BobcatRayLibertarian from Nebraska commented…5mos5MO

Can we now go to court and kick Biden off the ballot because he’s incapacitated?

A person under trial for a crime should be ineligible to run for office unless found innocent
