The Islamic State announcement dovetailed with American intelligence assessment indicating that the attack, which killed 84 people, was most likely the work of the group.
The Islamic State claimed responsibility on Thursday for the bombing attack that killed 84 people in Kerman, Iran, on Wednesday, according to a post on the extremist group’s official Telegram account.
Some Iranian leaders had initially appeared to blame Israel for the attack, stoking fears that the war in Gaza — in which Israel is battling Hamas, a Palestinian ally of Iran — would widen into a regional conflict.
Six Israeli officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss such intelligence matters, strongly denied that Israel had any role in the attack. Colin P. Clarke, a counterterrorism analyst at the Soufan Group, a security consulting firm based in New York, said he suspected the Islamic State’s Khorasan affiliate, also known as ISIS-K, which is based in Afghanistan, as a likely perpetrator of the attack.

Right after ISIS claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in Iran Lindsey Graham of course tells Netanyahu that he wants to “push forward to make Iran’s worst nightmare real.”
@TaxationMaxRepublican5mos5MO
From the offset there was zero evidence to suggest Israel was behind the Kerman bombings (and now we know it was ISIS).
@ConstitutionalPieGreen5mos5MO
Israel helped create ISIS so makes sense that they are back and attacking their enemies
Some old news related to this: "ISIS commander captured in Libya revealed that he is Israeli Mossad agent name Ibrahim Benjamin"
@SpiritedL1ber4lRepublican5mos5MO
Maybe he was forced to say that?
ISIS is Israeli Secret Intelligence Service.
Always has been.
@SpiritedL1ber4lRepublican5mos5MO

Why will Isis be Israel service the fact is isis is real ummah unlike Muslim cowards who put nation above ummah
@ChoughJonnyRepublican5mos5MO
ISIS-K feeling threatened by the coalescing support among Muslims for Hamas and other Iranian-backed groups, reminding Sunni’s that Shia groups do not represent them? And that they (ISIS-K) have not gone away.
@9HVLY485mos5MO
It’s jus like every other war story
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
How do you think the international community should react to a terrorist group that operates beyond the borders of just one country?
@9CJ6CB65mos5MO
Try to contain it in any safe way possible, terrorism spreading is a worse problem than dealing with Iran, so let’s contain it to Israel and Palestine if possible.
