Their intent is to stifle debate and critical thinking. Want proof? Look no further than any US House or Senate race. Every Democrat candidate is promising to push legislation that "protects Abortion". They don't say how they will do this, while ignoring the simple fact that the Supreme Court has taken the question and assigned it to the states, leaving the federal government only one avenue to deliver what they are promising, to propose a constitutional amendment. Why doesn't the press challenge this? That answer is clear, to keep this an emotional issue to support the agenda of the media and Democrats.

Congress makes the laws and the Supreme Court interprets the laws. Just because the SC nullified Roe v Wade, doesn't prevent Congress from making new laws.
