Our southern border is wide open. Our universities have become dependent on full tuition paying Chinese students- all are required by their government to report on what they have learned and what directions the U.S. is taking regarding hard and soft sciences, a soft form of spying. The same arrangement holds for Chinese nationals working in our private sector (defense contractors, A.I. R & D, biomedical, pharma, etc.).
Our government, universities and businesses and the general public receive ongoing warnings from the FBI and other intelligence gathering agencies, yet, not much, if anything is done to seriously stem the tide of theft by China, Inc..

Why do we let Chinese nationals study in American universities ? I have asked this question many times.
We have many American children who need an opportunity to attend an American university and then go onto graduate school and yet they are being pushed out by Chinese nationals. Why?
Who is optimizing on China within the U.S. ?
Why don't we develop a policy of a systemic economic disconnection from China? For 40 years we have had a trade deficit with China and yet we continue?
