The libertarians are arguing over whether it is libertarian to take political action against immigration while tens of millions have flooded the nation.

 @LibertyJayLibertarian from California commented…3mos3MO

Whether it is "libertarian" or not says nothing of the actions libertarians are actually taking. Many (most?) libertarians avail themselves of statist politics and many with particular respect to immigration. Only, they are not doing so on libertarian grounds, despite what they might think. Perhaps, in their minds, they engage in statist politics for libertarian ends. But this is different than doing so on libertarian grounds

Everyone’s talking about what level of filtering immigration is acceptable for libertarians.

I’m over here asking “when can we start exiling violent people out of our own country?”

No need for jail. We’re just sending you into the Sahara Desert with a tank top and a solo cup.

Should immigrants be deported if they commit a serious crime?

Yes:

Michael Rectenwald

Chase Oliver

John Monds

Mike Der Maat

Does walking across the border involve "force or fraud?"

From LP.org:

"Libertarians believe that the label of “crime” should be limited to actions of force or fraud against another individual or group. We believe that such crimes should be prosecuted and punished by our justice system but that actions that don’t involve force or fraud should not be criminalized or penalized in the first place."

"A truly free market requires the free movement of people, not just products and ideas." - LP

Rectenwald believes in an "inviation only" immigration policy.

Rectenwald believes people should be "invited personally" not nations as a whole.

 @R3gulationEggsLibertarianfrom Ohio commented…3mos3MO

This is probably the most honest immigration system. Let the people choose who they want to come and hold them responsible for who they bring. Let the people influence the housing market where they live.

 @SparrowGenesisLibertarianfrom Guam commented…3mos3MO

I agree about the invite but I don't believe someone is responsible for the actions of another person. OTOH perhaps if a person were to be held legally responsible for someone they invite on to their property they would be careful about who they invite.

Chase, John and Mike have policies that are the most consistent with the LP platform.
