People say that the U.S.A is based off, and created from the beliefs of Christianity. But though the Constitution, nor anything created for the structure of independence and the leading on years, say nothing of the Christian lord. They speak of a "Creator" and "Natures God" but never specify which one. The founding fathers, come from Britain, and people say that they would have created a Christian based country.
But the reason they left in the first place, was to go their own ways, and get away from the British church. So no, I don't necessarily think the Catholic Church should have important say in political sayings.

I agree because you don't have to follow religion to be in the political parties about church marriage and education.

Exactly! Though Christianity is still heavily applied to be the main religion in our country, (Which it is) It was not intended to be the only one! The United States was solidly created to be a diverse country away from British rule, Africans, Chinese, and Irish, and many others occupied the United States, which brought in many different cultures and religions. Christianity was not forced, it was applied after years!
