I think some people struggle to understand it because they have never not been in benefit of it
It’s not actually white privilege, but wealth privilege. The wealthy just happens to be mostly white.

It goes beyond simply that though. Sure, it looks much fairer when economic disparities are accounted for, but minorities still face worse treatment. Being middle class can't stop police from pulling you over based on skin color.
