If a country is pursuing what it sees as self-defense, where should it draw the line in terms of civilian casualties?

 @9LQ7C79 from Maryland answered…2mos2MO

they should draw the line when it starts affecting more than just other people in the war, when it starts affecting children and women and causing lots of casualities and ruined lots of there property and buildings

 @9LQ6VDJLibertarian from Florida answered…2mos2MO

Deliberate Civilian casualties are never acceptable. Civilians and children are not adversaries in senseless wars

 @9LQ6F74Peace and Freedom from New Jersey answered…2mos2MO

It should draw the line in civilian casualties when those people are innocent children and women.

 @9LQ77TW from Maryland answered…2mos2MO

There should be no citizen casualties in self defense because you should be protecting against attackers not harmless people

Reflecting on the story of the pregnant woman who lost her life but her baby was saved, what emotions or thoughts does this spark regarding the cycle of violence and the future of newborns in conflict areas?

 @9LQHRBN from Washington answered…2mos2MO

It is an unfortunate result of two places going to war, although efforts for it to be stopped should be put in place

Extremely sad that this could have been prevented by protecting those who we had sworn and had agreement with to protect

If you are American your money is paying for this -- an extra $28 billion that will help this happens more and more.

 @KnowledgeCardinalGreen from Tennessee agreed…2mos2MO

If lawmakers were required to disclose their investment holdings, everyone would understand exactly why the vast majority of them continue to support the genocide.

The Americans saved Britain and the rest of the allies in WW2 against a murderous regime and we were grateful to them It s a shame to see the noble American people being robbed of their own money to support a murderous regime , What's happened in between?

Can anyone of the Boomer-persuasion explain to me why it's good to base your entire identity on protesting the Vietnam war on campus--often in ways far more violent than anything we're seeing now--but protesting the genocidal war going on now is evil and wrong?

 @ChamoisAmeliaDemocrat from New York commented…2mos2MO

As one of the Boomer persuasion I can tell you true:

Israel: wrong for decades about Palestine.

Hamas: evil should be ended.

Netanyahu: evil & a war criminal.

Putin: evil & a war criminal.

Ukraine: fighting a just war.

Theocracy/totalitarianism are evil.

Peace & Freedom, man.

This didn't answer my question.

 @VetoSyrupGreen from Virginia agreed…2mos2MO

Boomers won't answer a simple question but will tell you that they think settler colonialism is "wrong" and opposing it is "evil". They've wasted their lives doing this

How do you feel about the juxtaposition of military aid to a country involved in actions leading to civilian harm, especially children?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2mos2MO

Considering the high number of children casualties, what responsibilities do you believe international communities have in responding to such incidents?

 @9LQ77TW from Maryland answered…2mos2MO

International communities should fight to protect citizens as much as possible

 @EmpathicOryxMountain from California commented…2mos2MO

I see we’re going to get more statements about protesters near Columbia University than any of the explicitly genocidal statements from US lawmakers and Israeli officials in the last few weeks. If you didn’t condemn an official with actual power calling for the nuking of millions of civilians, you’ve lost the ability to speak on this

 @JoyfulEggsWomen’s Equality from California commented…2mos2MO

Times like this reveal how little those in power really value the lives of Palestinian people. Israel is slaughtering Palestinian children like chickens with American knives and all everyone is condemning is a campus protest!!
