Yes, however, other countermeasures relating to how and why drug production is high should also be addressed, due to the profitability of illegal drugs, and moreso of a demand, simply destroying crop fields (Opiods or other crops that can be used to manufacture drugs) won't stop the root issue on its own, additional, if not mandatory, counseling and treatment with needed resources and training, legalization of certain drugs (Up to discretionary approval), and generally broadening additional education, resources, and safety programs, and acting upon information of why an what drugs are used can provide a better leverage in eventually bringing the war on drugs to an end.
