You believe that a free market economy promotes individual freedom, innovation, and wealth creation for all.
Capitalism is a political and economic ideology characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, investments determined by private decision, and prices, production, and the distribution of goods determined mainly by competition in a free market. It is a system in which the means of production are privately owned and operated for profit. This profit is generated through efficient use of the resources, obtained through a voluntary exchange in a free market.
The roots of capitalism can be traced back to the late Middle Ages in Europe, where it gradually emerged following…

Do you feel that the wealth created by capitalism benefits society as a whole or just a select few?
@9H9T24M5mos5MO
I believe it benefits society as a whole, it definitely benefits a select few more than it does society, but anyone can build themselves up to being part of that select few.
Capitalism is a great form of economy however America's capitalism has devolved over the past decade and exponentially increased in the past 4 years since 2024 January 1st. It allows the rich to stay rich while the quality of life for the average diminishes.
@9H8XC7Z5mos5MO
Capitalism mostly benefits the rich as they sway the market's value and leaves the working class struggling to keep up in some cases as inflation increases.

@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
If you had the power, would you make any changes to the current capitalist system, and what would they be?
@9H8WRPS5mos5MO
Yes, because I believe our current capitalist system lets the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The wealth gap has been rising every year because the rich are allowed to do what they want and keep the lower classes below them. Sure, the rich are taxed more than the poor, but there are loopholes to get around those taxes that let the rich grow unchecked. Wealth will never be better distributed if we allow the system to continue the way it is.
@9H7MC2G5mos5MO
I think that our capitalistic society benefits the rich much more than the poor, and there is too big a wealth gap between the two. I think that large multi billion dollar corporations should pay higher taxes than poorer people and the government should then use the extra money for programs for the poor.

@9H9NFLH5mos5MO
I would try to help bridge the wealth disparity created between the rich and the poor as a result of capitalist systems.
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
Can capitalism truly provide freedom of choice for consumers, or does it end up creating illusions of choice with big companies dominating markets?
@9H8Z2JM5mos5MO
It does create more of an illusion of choice. I think Capitalism could work but just need to tweak it slightly.
@9H8P7ML5mos5MO
I do believe that capitalism in itself is something good for the our country and for the economy, however I do believe that some people miss use the power they get from it and that along with over use should be controlled.
@9H6TW8Q5mos5MO
I think purely ideologically capitalism can give a consumer freedom of choice. However with current regulations and practices, oligopolies give you an illusion of choice.
@9H6M2PD5mos5MO
Capitalism, if left unchecked, will certainly breed issues of monopolies and thus, must always remain with some degree of interventionism to stabilize markets and incentivize small and local businesses keep money within their communities.

In what ways do you think social media influences our perception of success in a capitalist society?
@9J4XYX9Independent4mos4MO
because a lot of people believe everything they see.
@9J4WT374mos4MO
They show that doing zero manual labor makes you rich.
Capitalism is stupid and hurts more people than it helps.
@9J4WSTRIndependent4mos4MO
It can be bias or lie which makes people think a curtain way
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
How does the concept of 'voting with your dollar' resonate with you in terms of your power as a consumer within a capitalist society?
@9HF87JK5mos5MO
I believe money should be separate from politics. The elite only care about getting more money in their pockets, nothing more.
@9HF8CR25mos5MO
Voting with your dollars is an unfair system. It gives all the power to a few people. Those few people have been bending and twisting laws in order to benefit them. They always want to socialize their losses and keep all their gains. This is happening over and over again, in many different ways. First we are taxed then our taxes go to companies oil, Pharma, all kinds of companies. They charge us a ton of money for everything and yet they get the tax breaks and use loopholes and do stock buybacks. But if some of our taxes are used to help the middle-class or the poor, they cry foul play even… Read more

Reflect on a time when you had to make a difficult purchase decision; how do you think the competitive nature of capitalism influenced your choice?
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
How do you perceive the impact of consumer trends on your own lifestyle and spending habits?
@9HTXYM34mos4MO
i feel as though i want to over consume a lot of products that seem more like a luxury, as i always want the latest tech and buy more and more. Though yes it is a hobby of mine, i feel as though I can live without them but can't at the same time.
@9HTXXMHIndependent4mos4MO
I find that they make me want to spend more money and are all over kind of harming to society.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
Has there been an instance where you've felt compelled to purchase something due to societal pressures and how do you see this as a result of capitalism?
I see this as the result of big business pushing brands and new shiny things.
@9HLSWK35mos5MO
yes, There was a time when pokemon cards and fidget spinners were pessured back in elementary school. They have good marketing in my opinion because I got something I didnt want.
@9HLHGNJ5mos5MO
I like to purchase things that are made in the USA to give Americans drop

Do you believe the drive for profits under capitalism can coexist with ethical business practices, or are they inherently at odds?
@9H3QFVD6mos6MO
Capitalism is a political and economic ideology characterized by private or corporate ownership of capital goods, investments determined by private decision, and prices, production, and the distribution of goods determined mainly by competition in a free market.
@9H3QSX36mos6MO
Profits and ethics can coexist; lack of loyalty to one's homeland and people, coming from both business owners and those in government making and administering the law, are a primary source of the problems today in this regard.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
When you think about your future job prospects, how much does the potential to earn influence your career choices?
@9J3YTMD4mos4MO
How much I’ll make impacts whether or not I take a job
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
Have you ever encountered a situation where you felt that financial gain was prioritized over ethical considerations, and what did that teach you about capitalism?
@9HDR83SWomen’s Equality5mos5MO
no, capitalism isis an economic system characterized by private ownership of the means of production, with labor solely paid wages.
@9HDQQRP5mos5MO
I feel as if during college decisions that people with more money have a better chance of having their kids be able to go to better schools, because they can afford it more, and can sign them up for summer camps that could look good towards colleges that could costs tens of thousands of dollars.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
How do you view the balance between pursuing your passions and the need to earn a living in today's economy?
@9HTXBVR4mos4MO
Living paycheck to paycheck pretty much eliminates someone's social life. If you don't have the money to pay for luxuries, how do you have a social life?
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
How does your personal experience with job hunting or employment shape your view of capitalism's effectiveness in providing opportunities?
@9HR9L9H4mos4MO
Capitalism in this day and age has evolved to be effective. As a straight, white, male, I found it quite hard to get a job. Quite often I found that I was a minority in a room full of minorities. However, I believe this is a net positive to some extent. The job market has been long dominated by white males and the change is welcome, as long as it balances itself out proportionally in the end.
@9HR9KY54mos4MO
Capitalism is the very heart and sole of liberty and American identity and it should be protected through all means.
@VibrantPumaLibertarian8mos8MO
