@9HFK76D6mos6MO
Separation of Church and State should be upheld in America.
@9HFHLXK6mos6MO
No, if we want to keep the church and state separate, we should not give them a say.
No. The Catholic church can have a say in the church. Religion and politics should not intertwine.
@9HFGPR26mos6MO
No I believe the church and government should be different
@9HKK6WS5mos5MO
NO, we made it so that religion does not govern for a reason and thus, should not have any power over the government.
@9HGD6PP6mos6MO
No. Religion and the state should always be separated as it makes useless and unneeded conflict.
@9HGH77FLibertarian6mos6MO
No. Freedom of religion exists in America.I don't think we should have a large religious institution having a say in laws.
@9HDQ2FG6mos6MO
They can have their own laws in their church, but they don't get to tell other people to do those rules as well just because they support them and think it's the right way.
@9HKHQQD5mos5MO
No, as the Catholic Church is not a political organization. If the members of it want to have a say in political matters, they can vote just like the rest of us.
@9HDTN826mos6MO
The American People should have the right to express their religion and should be able to have communities centered around a communal religion, but the Catholic Church should not have power over the government.
@9HN3HRC5mos5MO
No -- I don't believe any religion should have a say in political matters. Separation of Church and State exists for a reason.
@9HFVH2G6mos6MO
No, its a religious institution, not a political one. Religious views should never be implemented into government decisions.
@9HGFRZJLibertarian6mos6MO
No, church and government shall stay separate. To apply the moral values of a holy book unto many others who do not have the same belief is cruel and unethical.
@9HFKVH86mos6MO
I believe no religion should have a say in anything political. Religious people go off their bible, and not the constitutional laws.
@9HG745R6mos6MO
No. The Catholic Church can make rules for people who follow their religion, but having a say in political matters is imposing their will upon people who do not follow their religion. Mandating that non-Catholics follow Catholicism-based laws violates the separation of church and state and is unethical.
@9HFDFG46mos6MO
All groups are entitled to their opinions of politics, but it should not influence politics or politicians in their decisions.
@9HG842ZRepublican6mos6MO
No i don't think relgion should be implemented in government there so many different religions it would cause to much controversy.
@9HFQ66F6mos6MO
No, religion should not be able to impact people who don't even believe in it or even agree with it. According to the first amendment, the government can't endorses a religion anyway.
@9HCT5KW6mos6MO
No individual should have an obligation to believe what a certain entity believes. The Catholic church should be separate from government, so should any religious entity.
@9HDQNLG6mos6MO
The Catholic Church is free to share their stances on local and global political matters, and governments and organizations should be able to take their stances as recommendations. But it should be nothing more than that, a recommendation.
@9HFH8FTIndependent6mos6MO
They should be allowed to voice their opinion but should not be allowed to force anything on anyone
@9HG6TZ86mos6MO
No because everyone has the right to there religion.
@9HGGXLL6mos6MO
There should always be a separation of church and state. Not everyone can be fairly represented if one religion is influencing the law.
@9HDTR7GIndependent6mos6MO
No religion should ever have any say in political matters, end of discussion. Political power lies within the individual, if individuals would like to argue about policies then by all means they are free to. But allowing a conglomerate (especially one on the scale of the catholic church) to have a say in political matters is absolute lunacy and generally has no actual logic backing it, only being based on centuries old logic. Additionally the inaccuracies of the bible through the many many translations destroy it's own power and legitimacy as a source. And I say all of this as someone who grew up in a heavily catholic household.
@9HDQKNX6mos6MO
No they shouldn't, I don't think that any church of any religion should get a hand in the government or education, it violates the right to pick our own religion and brainwashes the young, along with corrupting the government/ church.
@9HKH7JQ5mos5MO
No, it is in our constitution to have freedom of religion as long as you don’t impose your beliefs on anyone or harm anyone. There should always be a separation of church and state to ensure freedom of everyone and to uphold our constitution.
@9HKPZC75mos5MO
No, people who follow the religion may follow the religious rules and values to their own discretion but those values should not be imposed on the government and the governed
@9HFNGQD6mos6MO
No I don't, I believe that there should be separation of church and state.
@9HDLMGZ6mos6MO
No as a whole this country cannot be controlled by one religion
@9HFBP47Justice party member6mos6MO
I don't think any religion and it's church should have a say in political parties, because not everyone is christian or catholic, ect... so it wouldn't be fair to other people.
@9HFLG766mos6MO
They shouldn’t be involved in Public government say, but they can make their own rules within their own religion.
@9HMFN6W5mos5MO
No, government and religion shouldn't mix. Not everyone in the USA is a Catholic so not everyone should have to follow their laws and opinions.
@9HFPBNS6mos6MO
Well not politically, but they have there own rules and regulations that the followers of the church follow.
@9HFM3TT6mos6MO
The Catholic Church can make rules about their own Church, but I don't think that they can have a say in political matter because I believe religion and politics should be separated.
@9HFMTQW6mos6MO
no. your religion is your religion. not everyone's religion.
@9HFKNSR6mos6MO
No, I believe the church and government should be different.
@9HMDW9P5mos5MO
no, religion and governmental policies should be kept completely separate. we are supposed to be a democracy not a theocracy. (even though our biases is in religion so were bacised a theoric influenced democracy)
@9HFPRY6Women’s Equality6mos6MO
Not political or education but i think they could talk about marriage
@9HCXNRD6mos6MO
They have their own beliefs and freedom of religion, They say what they want, but I believe that laws about marriage and education should be discussed by the U.S. Government and its people.
The church and politics are extremely different things. The church's purpose is to lead people on a religious path, and the government's is to make decisions that affect its people in the most positive way possible. They should not intertwine.
@9HDMX5S6mos6MO
Absolutely not. The first amendment itself proclaims that no religion will be held in higher regard than others, and they will not have influence over the government. Religion and government should stay separate, and that’s that.
@9HG9HZX6mos6MO
no. they are a religious group not a political group
@9HL84J9 5mos5MO
No, there is a reason we have a separation between church and state. It's not fair for one Christian domination to make decisions for the majority of diverse people who follow different religions and beliefs.
@9HGB8JC6mos6MO
No I believe the church and government should be seperate.
@9HDVT2H6mos6MO
I think everyone should have a say in political matters, no matter what they believe.
No, because we have clearly stated as a country that church and state are separate. There is no reason and should be no reason for the church to have any say in political matters.
@9HFPYJS6mos6MO
No, the Catholic Church should not have the authority to dictate marriages, any political matters, or someone’s education.
@9HGC2C26mos6MO
I think everyone's say should be equal, doesn't matter what religion they identify with.
