Should the U.S. continue to support Israel?

Despite Israel's hostile actions, America needs their presence in the middle east because we are dep…

That is a blatantly imperialist attitude. We shouldn't be asserting our own interests in other regions/nations just because we want their resources.

Nations often have to assert their interests in other regions to maintain a balance of power. During the Cold War, the U.S. and Soviet Union had to establish spheres of influence to prevent one from becoming too powerful. This isn't just about resources, but also about maintaining global stability. I would argue that supporting Israel is part of this larger geopolitical strategy.

The problem is that it is a bad strategy and a bad goal, and again, is inherently imperialistic. Nations like the US are merely trying to assert their own dominance over every region of the world to further their own global hegemonic power for their own personal interests.

Secondly, the reason the US is in support of Israel is because of white supremacist colonialism. The US is a colonial state, and as such, has to protect Israel, another colonial state, so as to further each others' colonial goals of wiping out whatever non-white/religious peoples that they view as enemies.

It's essential to understand that the reason behind the U.S. supporting Israel isn't as simple as colonialism or white supremacy, but rather a complex intertwining of geopolitical, historical, and societal factors. The U.S. support for Israel began after World War II, during a time when decolonization was on the rise. The U.S., in fact, was instrumental in dismantling many colonial empires.

Moreover, the U.S.-Israel relationship isn't unique. The U.S. has allies in various regions, like Japan in Asia, and these relationships aren't based on the race of the people but on…  Read more

Except it's not very complex.

Israel is a colonial apartheid state, condemned by the global community for their blatant genocide and war crimes against the Palestinian people for the past several decades, yet we continue to support and defend them anyway. This is, of course, for many reasons, including our shared histories as violent colonial nations, our mutual xenophobic and Islamophobic actions against peoples we don't like, our capitalist interests in maintaining global sovereignty, our theocratic beliefs in becoming a religious ethnostate, etc. The US cannot condemn Israel for it's actions because the US is responsible for all the same things, and worse.

Nationalism is bad, and that's not complex...
