I'm an immigrant from a family of immigrants. Why would a productive individual dedicate his life and talents for a society that would beat him up and steal his hard earned wealth, and then send him off to fight a war?Better to be where you are appreciated.

Good point. Are you owned by the land of your ancestors into perpetuity, regardless of how you are treated? Or are you free to legally move to another land in accordance to the laws of that new land ?
