Yes it was a riot. An insurrection requires people to be armed and correct me I I’m wrong, there were no guns except for the weapons the capitol police had, which they should have used.

Obvious to the average American. Only to the ruling class in and around DC was J6 worse. It is their "hallowed grounds". When it came to BLM, they figured, meh, not our hood so who cares. Remember, all the cities that were boarded up in preparation for a Trump win?

 @WeaverTerryDemocrat from Arizona disagreed…4mos4MO

The GOP tells you to back the blue but will refuse to thank the US Capitol Police Officers today for protecting them on J6.

The GOP always talks about National Security but will refuse to tell you Trump was responsible for J6.

They want to erase history.

January 6th was almost entirely peaceful, watch the declassified footage for yourself. The Capitol Police coaxed the protestors into the capitol building and then a few days later pushed Congress to prosecute them, and many entirely peaceful people have been sentenced to YEARS in prison. This is a destruction of our constitutional rights that no one deserves any thanks for. These People should not be punished for doing something the authorities put them up to.

The use of January 6th over the past few years to intentionally divide our country may prove to be equally as damaging.

People see what they want to see and believe what they want to believe. Totally incapable of putting their hate aside to look at facts, timelines, eye witness reports from real spectators.

It is because I have that I know Trump has connections to the cause of the riot and that it was, in fact, made almost entirely of trump’s supporters. Trump has lied over 150 times in a single meeting before, he’s not trustworthy enough to determine his own connections with the riots.

Have you watched ANY of the 40,000 plus hours of Jan. 6th footage just declassified, that shows capital guards coaxing the "insurrectionists" up to the capitol, giving them high-fives, and encouraging them to enter? Or scenes that show it was almost entirely peaceful?

  @9CJ6CB6 from Virginia commented…4mos4MO

Overall, they made change. They were actually less damaging overall than Civil Rights Era riots, and pretty much all the violent ones were areested. 95% of those protests didn’t turn to riots, and most were minor scuffles at best.

Have you heard about how Casey DeSantis and her children were barricaded inside the Florida governor's mansion while rioters hurled rocks at the windows, flashed menacing gasoline cans, and chanted horrible expletives at the besieged children?

 @ChamoisJakeRepublican from Minnesota commented…4mos4MO

Nailed it. Americans deeply despise those who beat up cops, whether they are Antifa anarchists or MAGA Nazis. God bless our men and women in uniform who keep us safe from the crazies. God bless America.

  @9CJ6CB6 from Virginia commented…4mos4MO

Antifa is the only leftist group that held prominence in that time that I have issues with. BLM was overall less violent and damaging than Civil Rights Era protests, but was simply more widespread.

I agree – Just because they were burning buildings, attacking policemen, looting, pilfering, plundering, shoplifting, committing arson, and vandalising, doesn't make their protest not peaceful, because the definition of peace is burning buildings, attacking policemen, looting, pilfering, plundering, shoplifting, committing arson, and vandalising, and that's totally a thing conservatives wouldn't get punished for. Totally.
