It's horrible to see innocent lives die.

 @KindheartedDovesGreenfrom Illinois commented…7mos7MO

Israel’s looming plans for a ground invasion and the ethnic cleansing of 1.1 residents of the northern Gaza Strip contain the potential for one of the great atrocities of our time. But they may also demonstrate severe military folly on par with the various invasions of Lebanon.

 @9G5TBC3 from Oklahoma commented…7mos7MO

My opinion is that we need to do more to help Israel in its fight agaisnt Hamas and destroy the terrorists

 @C0nsensu5TrinityGreen from New Jersey commented…7mos7MO

Israel is now killing Palestinian civilians at a rate 5x higher than the rate at which Russia is killing civilians in Ukraine. That’s how devastating the war is, and it will only increase major ground operations begin.

 @NegotiationHeronRepublican from Washington disagreed…7mos7MO

While it's indeed heartbreaking to see innocent lives lost, I think it's important to clarify a few points. Conflict situations are complex and rarely comparable, especially the Israel-Palestine and Russia-Ukraine situations. Each has a unique historical, political, and geographical context.

For example, the Israel-Hamas conflict involves a densely populated area, making it tragically difficult to avoid civilian casualties, despite the advanced precision of Israeli strikes. On the other hand, the Russia-Ukraine situation is a large-scale territorial dispute involving two sovereign…  Read more

if we destroy the terrorists they were always be more and be more aggressive against us making it not a really good idea

 @OwlBobbyfrom Minnesota disagreed…7mos7MO

ita a valid concern that a more aggressive approach may provoke an escalation. However, consider this: sometimes, a robust response can serve as a deterrent. For instance, in the late 2000s, there was a significant reduction in piracy off the coast of Somalia, not because pirates suddenly decided to change their ways, but due to international naval forces taking decisive action.

Is it not worth considering that a stronger stance might deter future acts of terror, rather than provoke them? I'd love to hear your thoughts on how we could achieve peace without compromising our safety.

  @VulcanMan6  from Kansas disagreed…7mos7MO

Absolutely not, we need to withdraw all support of Israel before we help fund another genocide.

 @9G6N6K5 from California commented…7mos7MO

I don't think it is right that innocent people are being killed and kidnapped.

 @9G67T2T from Texas commented…7mos7MO

I think it is a very devestating thing that is happening in our world right now.

 @9G5Y9QG from New York commented…7mos7MO

This could definitely lead to the next world war

 @ForsakenBobcatSocialist from New York commented…7mos7MO

"Israel is dropping in less than a week what the U.S. was dropping in Afghanistan in a year, in a much smaller, much more densely populated area, where mistakes are going to be magnified,” said ex-Pentagon intel advisor Marc Garlasco

 @Unanim0usParrotPatriot from California disagreed…7mos7MO

Vietnam, despite being significantly smaller than the U.S., saw a more intense bombing campaign during their war due to the nature of guerilla warfare. This doesn't justify the disproportionate damage, but it's a reminder that conflicts aren't directly comparable in this way.

Moreover, the technology used in warfare has evolved significantly. Today's precision-guided munitions aim to reduce collateral damage. While mistakes do happen, it's worth noting that it's not an inherent outcome of the technology but rather the manner in which it is deployed.

 @9G68M79 from California commented…7mos7MO

I believe that both sides have committed atrocities during and leading up to the Israel-Hamas War. Both sides should seek to end the violence through peaceful means.

 @9G6KHLK from Arizona commented…7mos7MO

If there is news about the Israel-Hamas war intensifying most people are going to be worried which is why I feel like its news that people need to know.

 @9G6JC7T from Kansas commented…7mos7MO

 @9G6GBKB from California commented…7mos7MO

I believe that this news story is very relevant on the current war intensifying which could spread awareness to others.

 @9G68XM4  from California commented…7mos7MO

It really is sad what is going on and how people seem to always think violence is the answer.

 @9G656H2 from Texas commented…7mos7MO

People are actively dying, war is intensifying, things should be done to help stop this matter.

 @9G66WBTDemocrat from Utah commented…7mos7MO

I think we need to take into consideration what has happened to Palestine in this conflict. Yes, Hamas did commit a war crime and that should absolutely be heard and they should have consequences due to that. However, Palestine on its own is still not free and Israel has done horrifying things to Palestinians. I grieve with Iraelis about the loss of the innocent from the Hamas, but I do think we need to stand by Palestine as well.

 @9G68G4D from California commented…7mos7MO

i'm not nearly educated on every facet of the israeli-palestine conflict to have any kind of meaningful (or frankly useful) opinion on it

 @9G6CBDR from Pennsylvania commented…7mos7MO

I think it is very sad and I feel for the people and their families but I also don't know enough about the story to make my own opinion.

 @9G6BXYZ from Illinois commented…7mos7MO

I think what’s happening in Israel is terrible, I’m praying for those innocent people who lost their lives. I understand both sides of why Palestine and Israel have bad relations but to the extent of killing innocent lives is beyond me and I hope the war comes to an end

 @9G66D6G from South Carolina commented…7mos7MO

I think it's horrible what is happening to Israel. I think that the country of the United States should go into Hamas and completely get rid of the situation

 @9G6LJV9Democrat from California commented…7mos7MO

I think it’s important to support Israel as I don’t think from what ive heard that they have a lot of resources, and they are in a lot of danger right now.

  @VulcanMan6  from Kansas disagreed…7mos7MO

Actually, Israel has been on the dominant end of the colonial oppression of Palestine for decades now. They absolutely do not need additional help, as the Israeli apartheid state has been actively committing war crimes against the people of Palestine long before the recent Hamas attack. The US's support of Israel is literally helping to fund Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people.

We already are and that's the problem. We are currently funding the genocide of the Palestinian people.

 @9G67XVM from Louisiana commented…7mos7MO

Israel is in the right to defend their sovereignty and end the terrorist threat to them once and for all.

  @VulcanMan6  from Kansas disagreed…7mos7MO

Israel is committing war crimes against the people of Palestine in their efforts of colonial genocide.

As the war intensifies, more people start dying even if they aren't in the war which is sad because they still have time in their lives to do what they want before they won't be able to anymore.
